The Artist

Muse is a sculptor, mixed media artist and Sex worker, focusing on connecting back to their empowered, wild and sensual self.

Muse is inspired by the most primal aspects of herself; by that which makes us most human, taboo and otherwise, and ultimately their art stirs emotions of intimacy, vulnerability and power. Muse’s work thrives in the hope that it can invite the politics of loving, passion and respect back into our communities and help to draw our attention to the ways most of society treats others and themselves.

Her work focuses on themes of emotional freedom, queerness, eroticism, mythology, vulnerability, and human rights (with emphasis on sex workers rights)

Both Film and sculpture have been passions of Muse’s for a long time - their roots imbedded in one of humanities most foundational and revered traditions - storytelling. There is such spiritual and creative power in carrying another human through a journey that touches on hidden parts of their psyche and draws it out to be felt. This is the art of manipulation - of guiding your audience down certain thought patterns, certain emotions, and is a huge reason why art is one of the most revolutionary and dangerous paths of activism.

The name Txnth Muse stems from the 9 muses of Greek mythology - goddesses of the arts and sciences. Muse initially started wanting to create this platform as a way of bringing sex and sex work into focus as a powerful and deeply expressive art form - as if it were the txnth muse, the unknown driving force and path of expression for humanity. But this extends out to so many taboos and repressed opportunities of passion we have in our culture - anger, grief, vulnerability, etc. Loving and war are so pivotal to us, and yet we do so much to sabotage what could be our most honourable and fulfilling ways of living.

“Ultimately, my art aims to be a fantastical storytelling of love, war and taboo.
